My eldest daughter and her husband are supposed to be here from Fort Worth, Texas sometime this evening. They left the kids with their mother but they are bringing along their two sweet Boston Terriers. We'll have four of them playing in the yard at the same time, won't that be a hoot!
Glenda has plans to bowl this afternoon while I, with the help of my neighbors, plan to get the no wake buoy back in it's permitted space.
A friend over the hill had us and another couple of friends over for supper last night. Glenda sure likes going and that's what she needs now. Keeps her mind running on something else tho even when we are only sitting around she hasn't succumbed to the natural pull of brooding on the problems so far as we know them now and the little we know is a pretty good load.
Mostly we just set around in limbo. We know a little something but don't really know crap. Wait and pray is about all we can do as we struggle along with the health issues and try to live every day as normally as we can.
The world is not respectable; it is mortal, tormented, confused, deluded forever; but it is shot through with beauty, with love, with glints of courage and laughter; and in these, the spirit blooms timidly, and struggles to the light amid the thorns. -George Santayana
