June 20, 2005

Here we sit all contented and no job to report for. This does create one little negative, but we've lived without any money for over eight years now. Being without so much and I can't tell that it has lost either of us any weight. I do remember our job days tho and Mondays were never that bad for me. Matter of fact, I mostly enjoyed them. I felt like that lucky attitude gave me a leg up on some of the folks that struggled with their Mondays. With that I'll say that Mondays are one of the nicer days of retirement. Just to set here doing what we want and thinking of all the people who had to rouse themselves early this morning and drag their way to a job makes it ever so sweet. Add to that a very quieted down lake....WHOOPEE!?

Well Tomi did for one. Every morning I get up, start the coffee then go down to feed Tomi and let him out of his room. Of course clean his litter box is a must. It sure is an aggravation but we're don't want to let him outside clawless. The vet told us the best way to keep a cat is never let them out anyway.

I wash my hands then go back to the coffee pot. It doesn't take that long to make, so I pour myself and Dory each a cup then carry them to the bedroom. Dory drinks hers while watching the news as I go about my business of doing the three s's. I can't remember what they stand for anymore but I'm sure one of them was shave. I then take a cup to the computer to read the news and send a message. That is how our day begins. Really interesting wasn't it?

One of the good things about getting older and being retired is you find you're more interesting than most of the people you meet. -Lee Marvin (edt)
