We made a quick round yesterday but it wasn't quite quick enough and Sam's Town and was too quick at the Gold Rush.....Maybe. At least we lost at bingo and at the machines at Sam's but I was getting some of it back at the Gold Rush. Glenda wasn't doing any good and quit playing so I folded too. That was probably the second best thing to do, the first being now to visit any casino at all.
Today the forecast here, is for a high of 78 from the weatherman and a vow to win at the games by Glenda. Usually she and Ruby have their day out on Tuesday's and today is going to be usual. I may join them for bingo at Sam's Town to get the pen radio and have my card scratched for the free points. Who knows, I/one of us might even win.
Before I head out to meet them I'm going to get a haircut and visit the library. Short hair is in my immediate future and if the past can be used as an indicator, a lot more book reading is in store for me too. Gas is $2.179 per gallon with talk of $2.299 within the week. That and the cost of losing are conspiring to keep me at home. I can walk to the library if need be. I finished all the books I had checked out plus a couple more and I need to get re-supplied before we run out of gas.
We're trying to save a little so we can meet some friends from Saint Louis and Jefferson City at an already scheduled visit next week. Our plans are to meet them at Terrible's for lunch on Monday.
We hope to have a little gas and a few funds left over for another upcoming visit from some more Jeff City folks during the last week in March. Glenda's brother Bob and wife Sandy have an Arizona outing via Boulder City lined up somewhat like they did last year. The place they are going in Arizona is a very high class joint that we can't remember the name of or where exactly, but a visit to this humble joint prior to that stop will help enable them to enjoy it to the utmost.
