December 27

Just doing a little wait for the heat pump guy to get here to finish up. Thank goodness there isn't anything to eat within reach or my weight would certainly increase! Good grief, Dory has been hanging pretty close to home and cooking is one of the things she does to keep herself occupied.

Lets see, one day was the huge chex cereal mix with nuts and pretzels that I really like. Well, I don't care much for pretzels which caused her to talk angry to me about eating around them and leaving just a bag of pretzels.

One morning came some dark fudge with nuts and then in the afternoon some peanut butter fudge. Cookies, did I mention cookies? A good part of a day spent on baking several batches of those rotten 'will breakers'.

Christmas day she baked a turkey, mashed up some potatoes, stirred up some gravy, reheated some leftover asparagus and sweet potato casserole and a few other things I can't remember right now, then she spread it all out on the table and called me up there. Couldn't hardly eat the filled plate fast enough with all those second and third helpings in my view. Gag, it was good! Don't worry about the septic tank, just load the carrier. We're still eating it too but now Dory just puts whatever she thinks I need on the plate then puts everything away before she calls me. This morning she told me she was going to cut all my portions.

Now, the Chex mix is all eaten up including the yucky pretzels. The cookies and fudge has been put into some, 'can't see through' containers, and then put out of sight. All this helps to give me hope that I might have most of this extra weight off at least by the middle of March.
