If yesterday was a bust for anyone it was self inflected and I might have been one of those dummies! What in the world can keep you from the realization of the blessing that you've been bestowed? So many others in our past have not had the privilege to do another day, some have, but without the ability to do it in a way they might prefer. I'm not going to ever let another day go by that I don't count my blessings!
I did re-install the disposal, mow the lawn and walk up after the mail but most of my day I wasted. I temporally installed the old countertops in the garage and did a few e-mails but from somewhere a few unhappy thoughts slipped up on me and took the up down. Down, is a place visited often by almost everyone but it is a place no one should want to stay. Rain to start the day was an influence but it cleaned up in a short and should have not caused the problem. It turned into a beautiful and cool day. I suppose it was only a human thing and was just meant to be.
I do wonder if Glenda's seemingly indifference to another day and her staying in bed till almost 7:00 might have made a difference. She has been a pretty indifferent person of late. Old men need a push! Maybe younger women need help too?
Well, today already looks better. As I look out the little window I see what appears to be a struggle by mother nature as she pushes the sun trying to give birth to another day. The fog raising from the quite and still surface of the water as if trying to meet the sun part way. The stillness of the water is broken here and there as a fish makes or misses it's morning meal. I see the damn Sparrows as they jabber and prance back and forth as if flaunting their ownership of our Purple Martin bird houses. Huh! The sun made it to just the correct position that I had to shut the window blind so I guess that's the end of that.
Since I'm so close to the bottom of this message I might as well end it too.
Climb up on some hill at sunrise. Everybody needs perspective once in a while, and you'll find it there.--Robb Sagendorph
