Another day another dollar ......... Now what is that supposed to mean? I've heard it all my life but still don't know the meaning. If it refers to earnings it won't apply to us for sure for sure. If it applies to expenditures it won't apply to us for sure fore sure. Electricity or even the computer hook up alone requires more than that. Even if we only ate free fish caught from our dock there is some cost in the cooking oils and lost lures. Live another day and what do you get, another day older and deeper in debt.
Glenda did go to the Dutch Country Store yesterday to restock some of our staples with their bent can bargains and out dated products but she had to buy gas at $1.769 so I'd say any possible savings was probably negated at the gas pump. Gas costs too much now to mow the lawn every time it needs it. As luck would have it the hot days without rain are doing a pretty good job of extending the time between mows but I have been letting it get pretty high anyway.
The guy at Branson, Paul Harris, told us that he came from a large family of thirteen children. Six sets of twins, said he thought that he was crossed eyed until he was near twelve years old. Funny but that is the only one I can remember out of all the stories he told. He was pretty good and told us they didn't have a script but I bought his tape and that proved to somewhat untrue. The script might not be followed word for word but they were the same old stories.
Glenda got up this morning around 1:00 am and read till around 3:30 before coming back to bed. That means she is still in bed which might make this day one of those two meal days unless I cook my own breakfast. I can't do that! Problems start when you start stripping duties from someone. Next thing you know they become bored and begin loosing their jest for life. Then comes the getting fat and sleeping all the time. Life becomes only a pain to be dreaded each day. No! I'll not cook my own breakfast! I'll make the sacrifice for Glenda's continued joy for living. A man has got to be wary of doing the wrong thing all of the time!
Believe it or not but we did take the tritoon out for an hour or so yesterday afternoon. We stopped at a neighbors across the inlet and took them with us. I can't hear doodle squat while I'm on a boat so I just haft to hope they enjoyed the trip and will forgive any wrong answers or wrong subject statements that I might have made. I enjoyed it anyway.
"Don't say you don't have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein."-- H. Jackson Brown, Author of "Life's Little Instruction Book"
