July 5

Oh, what a beautiful morning, oh, what a beautiful day. Here, that would only apply to full-timers that are without a house full of company. The storms struck first thing this morning, and as we hear about it, uprooting quite a few trees, downing many limbs, flickering the electricity and in at least four places downing electrical lines. A house full of company might be a house full for several hours. On the other hand it could encourage an early departure for some. They would miss the sunshine that is supposed to appear for several hours before the next storm line that is expected sometime this afternoon.

This weekend hasn't been too bad with a lot fewer boats than everyone expected. Unless the sixty mile per hour winds, reported in some areas, come through and take our dock, I believe it will survive another holiday just fine. I believe I could have checked the dock out yesterday without a safety rope so you can see the water hasn't been all that bad.

Thought problems this morning caused me to go to the blog and re-read some of the earlier sent messages in search of a glimmer of inspiration. I failed but I did notice there had evidently been many a message sent inspirationally insufficient. So what the heck, here is another.

As I set down here each morning my biggest hope is that I might cause a smile here or there but this morning I'm wordily stuck. The only thing I can think of is to throw a picture in and hope for a laugh or at least give you a chance to purge your system of some of the food you might have over-et during the holiday.

The picture was supposed to go here but I don't know how to do it.
